Welcome.

This is a work in progress about the journey of being an open mic comedian in Portland, OR. It in no way is the entire scene but only the parts I've seen over the last couple of years while filming, producing, and becoming a part of the scene. Featured Mic Photos: The photo is from January 20, 2025 at Dante's Inferno hosted by Bryan Withawhy and it bums me out I can't make it there as often as I was able to do. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to make things work though, so I never miss an opportunity to attend when my schedule allows.

Dante's is a unique venue located on Burnside in Portland near the waterfront. It's part cabaret/night club/music on most nights but occasionally has comedy shows like Roast Battle Portland hosted by Cam Strong or the roast of a local comedian. Roast Battle Portland is a fun show to attend, I filmed it once and the lineups and guest comedians are spectacular.
